I am currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Grand Canyon University and an aspiring therapist deeply committed to guiding clients toward holistic healing—body, mind, and spirit. I understand that trauma can make trusting others difficult, and it's natural to feel you can only rely on yourself. This is where I want to help you recognize that you no longer have to do it alone. As a compassionate and aspiring trauma-informed and eating disorder therapist with lived experience, I offer a deep, personal understanding of the complexities of the recovery and mental health journey. I believe that healing happens in relationships, which is why finding the right therapist takes significant and necessary effort, much like building any meaningful connections. My commitment to my clients is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where you feel seen and valued.  As for my clinical focus, I have an understanding of many common mental health challenges. For example, I view anxiety and depression not as deficits, but often as responses to unmet needs or underlying emotional, psychological and biological factors. My goal is to work with you to understand the roots of these struggles, and help you manage symptoms to be able to live the life you envision. When it comes to eating disorders, I operate from a specialized passion and lived insight, so I am committed to helping clients address the core emotional, psychological, and relational drivers behind eating disorders and disordered eating to help you move toward self-compassion and healing. I am eager to expand my knowledge and integrate various modalities to best serve my clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – regular and faith-based, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatics, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Trauma-Based Care. When I'm not in the office, you can often find me with a great cup of coffee, spending time with loved ones, reading, or going on an adventure with my Bichon Yorkie, Kali, who is basically my child.
